Blue Force Gear Vickers Sling
The Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ is the two-point sling developed with Larry Vickers — former 1st SFOD-Delta operator and author of the Vickers Guide series — and built on real-world feedback from the field. More than 500,000 Vickers Slings are in service across every branch of the U.S. military and with allied forces abroad. Made in the USA from Invista solution-dyed CORDURA® webbing with a patented Quick Adjuster for immediate transition from carry to ready, it is the tactical sling requested by name.
Key Features
- Patented Quick Adjuster with contrasting pull tab: Instantly transitions the sling from comfortable carry to fighting length. Wolf gray pull tab for fast visual and tactile location.
- 1.25" Invista solution-dyed CORDURA® webbing: Colorfast, abrasion-resistant, dimensionally stable across temperature and moisture extremes.
- Hardware options — Nylon : Glass-reinforced DuPont Zytel® nylon lays flatter for comfort.
- Adjustable length: 54" to 64" (unpadded).
- Reversible mount: Supports muzzle-up carry for traditional bolt-action rifles and shotguns.
- Compatible with M4 carbines, carbines, and rifles. Attaches through triglides via swivels, loops, or combined sling hardware.
- Attachment hardware sold separately.
- Made in USA, Berry Compliant, with BFG's limited lifetime warranty.
Why It Matters in the Field
The gap that the Vickers Sling was built to bridge: a two-point sling comfortable enough to carry all day, with a quick-adjustment mechanism fast enough to transition to a fighting position without setting the weapon down or fumbling with a buckle. The patented Quick Adjuster solves that with a single pull. Let the sling out for patrol carry. Pull it in for entry work, vehicle ops, or contact.
The CORDURA® webbing is solution-dyed by Invista — the dye is in the fiber, not on it. It holds color under UV, abrasion, moisture, and wash cycles that surface-dyed alternatives won't survive. For long-duration deployments, the sling holds up without fading, fraying, or stiffening.
Hardware choice matters at this level. The nylon option is lighter and lays flatter under a kit — better choice for operators who want minimal bulk under plate carriers or against the body. The metal option adds strength at the adjuster and triglides for operators running heavier weapons or higher-stress attachment points.

Why tacticaledge.com Carries It
Over 500,000 in service. Every branch of the U.S. military. Allied forces abroad. The Vickers Sling is not a theoretical product — it is the sling a generation of operators asked for by name after enough time in the field with slings that didn't work. Blue Force Gear and Larry Vickers built it from that feedback, patented the Quick Adjuster, and have been producing it in the USA ever since. It earns the spot in the lineup on its record.
FAQ
Is attachment hardware included?
No. The Vickers Sling attaches directly to fixed-loop firearm attachment systems. Additional hardware for different front and rear attachment methods is sold separately. Contact us if you need help identifying the right hardware for your specific weapon system.
Nylon or metal hardware — which should I choose?
Nylon (glass-reinforced DuPont Zytel®) is lighter and lays flatter — better for operators who carry under kit or want to minimize bulk. Metal (anodized machined aluminum adjuster, phosphate steel triglides) adds strength for heavier weapons or higher-demand attachment points. Both are duty-grade. Choose based on weight preference and carry application.
How does the Quick Adjuster work?
The Quick Adjuster is a patented sliding mechanism on the sling body. Pull the contrasting wolf gray tab to shorten the sling for a fighting position; release to return to carry length. The transition is one-handed and operable under gloves.
Is a padded version available?
Yes — the Vickers Padded 2 Point Sling is available separately. The padded version adds a 2-inch inline closed-cell foam pad that does not slide on the sling body, runs 57" to 67" in length, and uses 2-inch tubular webbing. See that listing for details.
What colors are available?
Black and Coyote Brown are stocked at tacticaledge.com. Additional colors — including Kryptek Highlander, Kryptek Typhon, MultiCam Black, MultiCam Arid, and MultiCam Tropic — are available through BFG's Custom Sling Builder.
Is it Berry Compliant?
Yes. The Vickers Sling is made in the USA and is Berry Compliant, making it eligible for DoD and federal agency procurement.
What does the warranty cover?
Blue Force Gear backs the Vickers Sling with a limited lifetime warranty.
Does it ship to APO/FPO addresses?
